A waste of an intriguing premise and a waste of an amazing talent like Katee Sackhoff, 2036: Origin Unknown may have some decently crafted visuals for a low-budget production but it's let down by a lame supporting cast and a poor script that contains zero originality to stand out from other sci-fi films like it. There is just not enough here, even as the film attempts to ape 2001 and Age of Ultron. It will have a big effect on Earth. All science fiction movie's I've seen.

Schade um das vergeudete Potenzial, denn die Prämisse wäre eigentlich sehr spannend und die Protagonistin macht eigentlich auch einen guten Job, aber ansonsten hapert es an allen Ecken und Enden. It does feel dragged out, like a short film stretched to feature, and gets over-complicated as a result of having too many ideas/areas and not enough of them being fully explored, meaning that there is a lack of clarity.
